Specialized Potty Training for Special Needs Children
As a teacher for children with special needs with over 20 years of experience, I specialize in potty training children with unique challenges, including those with physical barriers, behavioral needs, and developmental delays. I have potty trained many kids over the years with varying abilities from ages 4 to 10 years old. It has been my experience that children with special needs will fall into one of four categories when it comes to toilet training: (1) unaware of toileting needs, (2) emerging learner, (3) resistant learner, and (4) learners with physical barriers. Each one of these categories requires a different approach. As such, I developed a structured potty training program and a scaled assessment to determine which program a child would benefit from most.
I'm dedicated to helping every child succeed in this important milestone. Our team of experts offer personalized guidance and support throughout the potty training process. Our assessment based approach allows us to individualize a program based on your child’s unique needs. We look forward to guiding you through the potty training journey.
Get Ahead with Special Needs Potty Training
Self Guided Programs
Based on your assessment results, a basic, step-by-step potty training program will be recommended. You may choose to follow the program on a self-guided basis and purchase your program for download under our products section or upgrade to add a package that includes a program with potty training steps and consultations if you need potty training help.
Individualized Program with Consult
Our team of experienced consultants will review your reinforcer survey and individualize a program designed to meet your child’s unique needs. You will have access to the recommended program based on assessment results and receive a virtual 60 minute consultation on how to effectively implement the program specific to your child and answer any questions.
Ongoing Consultation
We offer ongoing consultations and coaching throughout the process as an add-on to any package.
